It seems like a long list ... I've had a number of chapters to my career and have been a lot of places and done a lot of things. Along the way I've developed a wide range of skills.
First Chartered in 2003 as MIET and a C.Eng, I’ve enjoyed a 30-year innovation career in different manufacturing and process industries from 1995 to 2025. My experience spans water and wastewater treatment, automation and control, glass manufacture, and aerospace machinery, industries. 13 years of this was working in East Africa as co-founder of an Ethiopian business serving NGOs and low-income consumers with clean water technologies which I personally developed. My startup still runs and still produces filters in Ethiopia to this day. I added a Water Treatment MSc to my original B.Eng in industrial process control. I’m passionate about Design Thinking and am equally able to apply that in an R&D department, start-ups and spin-offs, and now lead innovation for LBBC Group where I'm leading the way in equipment design developments to deliver advanced engine manufacturing capability in the aerospace industry.
